What is Sabeel?
Sabeel is the Islamic tradition of offering free water—and sometimes food—to travelers, the poor, and worshippers. Inspired by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who said, “The best charity is giving water to drink” (Ahmad), this act brings relief, especially in the heat of the Haramain during Ramadan, Hajj, and Umrah. Through the Sabeel Initiative, we continue this legacy in Makkah and Madinah by providing water and meals to those in need. It’s a form of Sadaqah Jariyah—a continuous charity that brings lasting reward.
